Mmmm, Mmmm, Good!

The other day, Jeff and I were both in the kitchen and Max was in there with us, playing in his little seat. He was being awfully quiet and when I looked down to check on him, I saw why! He had found something new and fun to chew on - his toes!! As you have seen in previous blogs, Max does love his feet, but it has only just recently been warm enough to leave his socks off. Now he has discovered that his feet are even better than he thought - he can play with them AND chew on them. Too funny! My camera is never far from me, of course, so I was able to catch this great moment for you all to enjoy!

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'.........

Max is now rolling all over the house! Once he got all the front to back and back to front flipping down, he combined them and he is now rolling everywhere. Nothing is safe from him anymore! I got some cute video of him making his way across the room. Enjoy!

Happy Easter!

Doesn't Max look adorable in his Easter outfit?? We had a great first Easter with him! He spent the morning with his Grams and Pops (who went to the super-early church service), while Jeff and I went to church service and helped in the nursery. Then we all went to lunch at my aunt and uncle's house - which was delicious! - where we spent some time with family and friends. Once we made it home, Max got to see what was in his Easter basket. It was really funny how he just started pulling eveything out by himself and examining each item, like he had done it a million times before! It blows my mind to think that 7 months ago he could not do anything, and now he is tearing through his Easter basket to see the new things he got!

My son is the most precious thing in the world to me. The fact that God sacrificed his own son on the cross to die for my sins truly overwhelms and humbles me now that I am a parent. I always understood the magnitude of what he did and that due to the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ, I will be able to live in heaven for eternity, but now that I have my own child, it reinforces the emotional sacrifice it was for God to be able to do that. He gave his only Son to die for all of us. Sinners who did not deserve it. He washed away the sins of the world so that we can live forever with Him. We truly have an Amazing God.

Let Go of That!!

Max has entered that stage where he loves to grab anything and everything. If and when he does get his little hands on his latest "must-have" object, he is anything but gentle with it!! He gets a determined look on his face, holds on to it, and starts pulling and shaking - basically trying to destroy it!! He even smiles while doing it - he is all BOY!! This includes toys, hair, necklaces, noses, ears - you name it!! He has recently started getting a huge kick out of trying to pull down the sun canopy on his car seat. Jeff and I laughed so hard the first time we saw him do it, and, as you can see from his angelic smile in the picture, he is very pleased with himself for all he has accomplished. Now, as soon as we pull the canopy up, he immediately raises those adorable, chubby arms and starts pulling. I guess some things are worth sacrificing a nicely shaded seat! He is just too cute! :)

Little Man

I love dressing Max in his little man clothes - especially Polo shirts! Mom and Ash picked out this shirt for him before he was even born, and I think they did a great job! While I was taking these pictures Max spotted the romote control - one of his favorite things! His eyes light up when he sees it. It's the same with the telephone. He will reach and grunt until he gets it. Never mind that he can be on the floor surrounded by his own toys! He must have the remote or the phone! Too funny. I also love the picture of him alseep on Jeff's shoulder. He just fits perfectly and looks so comfy. My guys are so cute!
