Feelin' Good! (Finally!)

After a week and a half of a snotty nose, ear infection, chest congestion, icky eyes and all around irritableness, Max is FINALLY feeling good! Today was his first day back at Mother's Day Out in 2 weeks, and, as you can see, he was happy and completely adorable this morning. He had a great day and I think he enjoyed getting out of the house for a little while. We have all had a bit of cabin fever. : )

He has recently started sitting with all of his stuffed animals, which I think is too cute! He likes to get right up next to them and sometimes he will lean or lay on them. He also gets this proud little look on his face, like "I am sitting on MY floor, in MY room, with MY toys because I decided to. This was completely MY idea." It is so neat to see him becoming so aware of everything and having his own thoughts and ideas. Of course, sometimes I wish he wasn't quite so vocal and adamant in communicating some of those thought and ideas - HA!!

Ready for my close-up!

This is how many of my pictures turn out these days. My little guy is obsessed with my camera. When he sees it, he will stop doing whatever cute thing I was just about to photograph and run to me with that adorable face, full of hope that this is the day that I am going to say "Yes, of course, you may play with my expensive digital camera. Have fun, sweetie!" Sorry, Max! Not gonna happen!

Little Hands of Many Colors

These were the little hands that greeted me today as I picked Max up from Mother's Day Out. Hmmmm........I wonder if any paint actually made it onto the paper! I haven't seen the, ahem, masterpiece yet, but I am sure it is something to behold! : )

Do you think..........

......it might be time to wash a load of clothes?? : )

(Don't worry, I am headed to the laundry room right now!!)

(and Belle is getting her hair cut on Wednesday. The picture makes it look like she has no eyes! Boy, are we behind on everything, or what?!)

Angelic Face

Such beautiful, sweet eyes and smile - the face of an angel. I'll try to forget that 30 minutes ago he broke one of my favorite, cute kitchen items. Surely, he didn't mean to, right?? Not my sweet baby with the face of an angel..........

Baking with Grams

"Why will Grams only let me turn on this AWESOME toy when it's in this big bowl? Doesn't she understand all the fun I could have with this thing all over the house??!!"

Georgia Aquarium

Jeff and I took Max to the Georgia Aquarium the weekend after Christmas. We love going there and have been every year since it opened. Max really enjoyed it! It was VERY crowded, so it was hard to get close to a lot of the exhibits. Luckily, Max didn't mind, since his favorite part was getting to walk everywhere. He looked so proud of himself the whole time! There were some times when it was too crowded for him to walk and when Jeff or I picked him up, his inner 2-year old came out quickly! He was not happy with us! Overall we had a great day. Next time, we will try to pick a less-crowded day to go and hope that we can get some better pictures. They are opening a new dolphin exhibit this fall, which should be great. I know Max will really love that!

Aquarium: Then & Now

Jeff thought it would be fun if I showed picture from our Aquarium visit last year along with one from this year taken in the same location. What a change in our sweet little guy!

This year - Exhausted after running around the entire aquarium!
Last Year - So little and Sweet!
This Year - Ready to jump out of Daddy's arms & get those jellyfish!
Last Year - Wondering where in the world he is??

Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Chrsitmas! We spent a lot of time with family and friends and ate WAY too much food! Max enjoyed everything and, as you can see below, was really into unwrapping gifts this year. ;) It was so much fun. We hope you and your family had a great holiday, as well!
