Such a Big Boy!

These pictures make me a little sad, because Max looks so grown up! He loves playing with his Tonka truck. It makes a lot of fun noises and lights up and he really likes flipping it over and spinning the wheels. This was his Christmas gift from Jeff and me and when we gave it to him it seemed like it would be forever until he was big enough to play with it, but now look at him! "Forever" came way too quickly! I had to post the picture below for you to see how much he has grown since unwrapping this truck!!

Uh-Oh!

I don't know why Belle gets so excited when Max is in the high chair. I'm sure it's not because he is PURPOSEFULLY feeding her cheerios!! He has figured out that she actually likes him when he has food and he makes the most of it! We are not sure how to stop this new game since the high chair is at it's highest, and when Belle stands up on her back legs she is the perfect height to take the food right out of his hand when he holds it out to her. He has now gotten so smart that he will hold out his hand without any food in it, just so he can touch her when she stands up. It is actually very funny to see them interacting together like this, especially since Belle usually runs away from him. I guess she will do anything for a treat! :)

Happy Diabeti-versary!!

Last week marked 2 years since I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Last year Jeff and I decided we should celebrate my diagnosis anniversary and the fact that I have kicked diabetes booty for another year, thus the creation of my "Diabeti-versary"! (You know how my family loves a reason to celebrate anything!) This year we went with my family (except for Ricky who had to work) and our good friend, Lisa, to California Pizza Kitchen and ate way too much food! We had a great time. Max just chilled out and visited with everyone. How funny is the picture of him sitting with Lisa with his feet kicked up on the table? He is too cute!

Happy 4th!!

Happy 4th of July! We hope you had a wonderful day celebrating the great country we live in and remembering those who have lost their lives defending our freedom. We spent our day with family and had a great time. Thanks for lunch, Dad! I also, of course, took the chance to dress our little family in patriotic red, white, and blue - what a fun day! : )

Mommy's Helper

Now that Max can pull up on anything and everything, he has decided it is also a lot of fun to pull things off the couch! This has made folding laundry very difficult (not that I mind having a reason not to do it!). He is either trying to pull the basket off or the the clothes that I have just folded. I've found that putting him in the basket is a fun alternative. He finds it hilarious and I am able to fold without him doing any unfolding. He thinks he is a great little helper! Don't worry, he is supervised the entire time while in the basket, so there is no chance of him flipping out!

Wind Chimes

Our new "go-to" when Max is upset is taking him outside to play with the windchimes. He loves them! His face lights up and he grabs hold and starts shaking them. I think the funniest thing was today when he was "playing" them for Mom. He was shaking and shaking and then all of a sudden he stopped. He was VERY focused and did not move until the noise competely stopped. Then he started shaking and making them play again! So dramatic!! I think he is a future musician! :)

Going, Going, Gone!

I came home from Bible Study last week to find Max sound asleep. And I mean, SOUND alseep. Jeff said he was sleepy all night, and it became very evident just how tired he was during dinner! See the pics below - now why doesn't this ever happen when I'm home?? :)

GOING.......
